Salem Community High School will have Prom this year….but it has been moved to after graduation.
Megan Kessler who helps with the annual preparation says the decision was made to move Prom to Friday night, May 21st, so there was not any potential for COVID-19 being contacted at the event and impacting seniors attending graduation which has been set for Sunday afternoon, May 16th.
Kessler says the event details and location are yet to be determined. She reports the Prom committee is currently exploring two options, a traditional prom at BE Gum Gymnasium or an outdoor event similar to the 2020 prom that was held at A Fair Bar in Salem.
The prom committee will release further details as IDPH guidelines become available.
