The Salem Wildcats and Lady Cats wrap up their seasons Thursday night against Breese Central. The Salem boys host State Ranked Breese Central at home in a 7:30 game you can hear on WJBD-FM 100.1. Meanwhile, the Lady Cats travel to Breese Central to close out the COVID-19 shortened season.
In boys high school basketball action last night, Woodlawn topped Sandoval 37 to 25. Cahokia beat Mt. Vernon 43 to 41. Vandalia beat Litchfield 68 to 31.
In high school girls basketball action, South Central High School picked up a girls basketball win on Wednesday night. They beat Ramsey 59 to 26. Halle Smith had 18 points to lead South Central. The win improves South Central to 6-7 overall. The South Central girls host St. Elmo-Brownstown Thursday night.
In other action, Carterville topped Centralia 56 to 23, and Fairfield took Bluford Webber 60 to 21.
