There will be an Easter Egg Hunt in Salem this year….but it will be different.

The chair of the Salem Lion’s Club event Leon Chapman says they are going to a drive through event at Bryan Memorial Park to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

“We decided this year we will be handing out zip lock bags with candy filled eggs in them and some will have prize eggs.  Cars are asked to enter from Boone Street on either exit and come to the stage area where children from age 2-10 will receive a bag of Easter eggs as long as supplies last.  And if they have a lucky egg they will head to the ball diamond area to claim their prize.”

Chapman says the drive through Easter Egg event will begin at two Easter afternoon, April 4th. Three thousand eggs will be handed out in the zip lock bags as long as they last. This will be the 85th year for the Salem Lion’s Club to sponsor the Easter Egg Hunt.
