The Salem Wildcats dropped their game at the Hilltop in Mt Carmel falling to the Golden Aces 61-42. Mt Carmel came out and grabbed a 7 point lead after the opening quarter but a 19-6 second quarter pushed that lead to 37-17 at the break. Beau Stipp was solid for the Aces finishing with 22, 15 of those in the first half. Gage Kinnard hit 5 three pointers for his 15 points and 6-8 big man Caleb Applebey finished with 10. Salem will finish up their season on Thursday when they host undefeated, State Ranked Breese Central.
In other area action, South Central improved to 11-3 overall as they defeated Patoka 58-45. Collin Miller led SC with 23, Aiden Dodson added 11 and Ethan Watwood 10. Jordan Gebke led Patoka with 21.
