Marion County Coroner Troy Cannon says the man found dead in a creek in Salem’s Westside Industrial Park is a 39-year-old London, Kentucky man.
Aaron Christian Hall had been missing since October of last year. Cannon says it is believed that Hall died sometime during that time frame or a short time later.
A forensic autopsy conducted Monday at the Champaign County Coroner’s Office did not reveal a definitive cause of death, nor definitely rule out any cause. Cannon hopes that toxicology results will aid in that determination.
The investigation continues into the circumstances that brought Hall to the Salem area, what led to his death, and how he ended up where his body was discovered. It is believed Hall had contact with individuals in the area.
