The Marion County Health Department is confirming the death of a male in his 80s from COVID-19 related causes over the weekend. The death is the 114th in the county.
The department is also reporting seven new cases, including one student who is undergoing contact tracing. Five are considered community spread and two are from household or close contacts. There are now 23 active cases, including eight who are in the hospital.
Clinton County has no new cases to report for the weekend or Monday. There are currently 27 on home isolation and three who are hospitalized.
Washington County also had no new cases. There are currently three active cases and one who is hospitalized.
The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting nine new cases over the past three days with 20 currently in isolation.
Clay County is reporting three new cases Friday through Sunday.
Statewide, there were 1,182 new cases and five additional COVID-19 related deaths reported on Monday.
The statewide positivity rate for the past seven days is 2.3-percent. There were 29,564 doses administered in Illinois on Sunday.
