The Salem Lady Cats look to bounce back after Thursday’s loss to Okawville when they host Carlyle this morning for a varsity only contest at 11am. The Legend Bill Hawley will have the call on 100.1 FM WJBD.
Following the girls game, Craig Holmes will be in Carlyle for the Wildcats and Indians at 2pm also on WJBD.
On the air today at 1 Toby Gullion will have the KC Blue Angels matchup with John A Logan followed at 3pm by the Blue Devils and 7th ranked Volunteers. Both games will be aired on 92.1 FM and AM 1350 WSIQ.
Also today in girls high school hoops, Christ Our Rock hosts Pinckneyville, Centralia welcomes Carbondale.
In prep boys action, Patoka hosts Cobden, Centralia is at home with West Frankfort.
Last night in boys basketball, the Odin Eagles are 7-2 after their 63-45 victory at Grayville.
Freshman Cruz Harlan hit 2 free throws with 2.9 seconds to go in overtime to help the Orphans knock off Mt Vernon 51-47.
SC is 9-3 after their 70-44 win over Ramsey. Keenin Willshire finished with a game high 27 with 15 each from Ethan Watwood and Aiden Dodson. The Cougars will play at Mulberry Grove today.
In women’s basketball yesterday, Maci Peltes set the girls all time single game scoring record last night with 36 points in a win over Mascoutah. She also tied the school record for most points in a game boy or girl. She currently sits at 973 points in her career.
