As other state’s are beginning to lift mask mandates and size control limits, Governor JB Pritzker says they will remain in place in Illinois. He was questioned about continued mitigations when talking to the media on Wednesday.
“I plan to keep the mask mandate in effect as long as it will be helpful in us keeping people safe across the state of Illinois. This virus has been so unpredictable. Who knew there would be variants of this virus that we would have to fight. All I know is that the numbers are going in the right direction.”
Right now, there are no additional steps to allow for larger crowd sizes until everyone is vaccinated or there is a cure for COVID-19.
