It was a back and forth contest between KC and visiting Rend Lake College in women’s basketball last night. Rend Lake improved to 4-1 with an 87-70 victory; however the game was back and forth throughout. The Blue Angels led 20-13 after the opening quarter and trailed 41-32 at the half. The Blue Angels would regain the lead after 3 quarters at 61-56 but Rend Lake used a 31-9 final quarter to seal the win. Reyna Bullock hit 4 three pointers and finished with 21, Nyah Ford added 19. The Blue Angels are off until Saturday when they host John A Logan.
The KC Blue Devils fell at Olney Central 80-70. Chauncey Hughes had 19 to lead the Blue Devils attack, Traeveion Jones added 17, Chris White 14 and Jalen Williams finished with 11. Elijah Farr had 19 for OCC, JJ Kalakon added 16. KC drops to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in the GRAC.
