A 33-year-old Salem man was arrested twice over the weekend. Steve Schultz of East Locust was arrested late Sunday afternoon by Salem Police for domestic battery after allegedly punching a family member in the back of the head. He had been arrested earlier in the weekend on an outstanding Marion County failure to appear warrant. Schultz was released following the first arrest on $350 cash bond.
A 33-year-old Centralia man turned himself in at the Marion County Jail on Sunday on a failure to appear warrant in a pending possession of methamphetamine case. Kyle Fortag of East Richview was released after posting $1,000 cash bond.
