The Salem Wildcats won their 2nd game in a row in exciting fashion over Columbia on Saturday.  With the Cats down 1 in the final seconds, junior Caden Bee called ballgame with a 17 foot jumper with 2 seconds left.

Bee improved Salem to 3-5 overall and 3-3 in the Cahokia Conference.  He finished with 14 and Haddon Lybarger added 13 with Kaleb Anthony scoring 9 off the bench.  Jackson Holmes finished with a game-high 18 for the Eagles with Jonah James adding 11.

Salem returns to action tomorrow when they travel to Wesclin before going to Okawville on Thursday and Carlyle Saturday.

The South Central Cougars played twice on Saturday earning a pair of wins.  They opened with a 54-30 win over visiting Sandoval.  Keenin Willshire finished with 23 and Collin Miller 16 in the win.  The Cougars improved to 6-2 on the year with a win over Patoka that night 60-29.  Willshire had 19 and Miller 17 for SC.  The Cougars have a National Trail showdown at Altamont today.

The Centralia Orphans knocked off Woodlawn 46-31.  Kolby Wilmoth finished with game-high 17 for the Orphans.  Corey Fleeman finished with 9.
