Sandoval High School presents “The One Where We Were Quarantined” as the theme for the 60th Homecoming.  The 60th queen and the 34th king will be crowned tomorrow at 5 pm in an intimate private, by-invitation-only event.  The event has been in the planning stages since October.  Special them days were held this week including Pajama Day, Twin Day, Favorite Sports Team, and Hat day along with school spirit day.

With guidelines in place, the administration and coordinators have devised a plan to allow for the event to happen.   Differences this year include all voting for king and queen and for parent participation to view the event has been done electronically this year.  There will be several ways for the community to view the court.

For the first time ever, the event will have a parade with members of the court.  There will be a small parade thru town that will include local law and fire officials helping with traffic and leading.  The parade will start at 3 pm from the Sandoval Grade School and will run through town down Main Street and make its way down Highway 50 back towards the high school.

The event will be live-streamed on Facebook from the Sandoval CUSD #501 page.  There will also be DVDs for purchase.

The retiring King and Queen are Daniel Demaris and Jasmin Tarlton.  The crown bearer is first grader Kaysen Tate and flower girl Harper Gore.  Freshman attendant and escort are Mya Lee and Armoni Dempsey.  Sophomore attendant and escort Destiny Schniers and Trenton Dempsey.  Junior attendant and escort Haylee Paskavich and Andrew Gordon.

The senior queen candidates are Mya Brown, Courtney Evans, Isabelle Moore, and Morgan Weiss.  The King candidates are Caden Gore, Jeremyah Davis-Waits, Blake Vollmer, and Tate Ochs.  Master and Mistress of Ceremonies is Megan Parson.
