After starting the conference season with 3 straight wins, the Salem Lady Cats have dropped 2 straight. After Tuesday’s loss at home to Breese Central, Salem made the trip to Freeburg last night and fell to the Lady Midgets 48-31. Delaney Kell led Salem with 10 and Chloe Harness and Katelyn Biegeleisen added 8 each. The Lady Cats return to Conference play on the road at Columbia this Saturday.
South Central knocked off St Elmo/Brownstown in National Trail play 54-38. Halle Smith had 26 in the win to run the Lady Cougars record to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in the NTC.
