Marion County Clerk Steve Fox says early voting for the April election will begin in his office at the courthouse on Monday.
Fox says a final review of the ballot that includes city, village, township, and school board candidates is currently being completed. He notes the start of early voting was delayed for a short time due to the big snowstorm as well as heating and water problems at the courthouse last week.
Early voting will be available from eight to four on the second floor of the courthouse any day the clerk’s office is open. Both the cities of Salem and Centralia are reminding individuals that political signs are not permitted on state or city right of ways in accordance with their sign codes. They ask kindly that all those running, who have signs located on public right of ways, move the signs to private property to avoid them being removedĀ and stored by the cities. If you have questions, you can contact Salem or Centralia City Halls.
