An 18-year-old Centralia man faces multiple charges following an altercation with a Centralia Police officer in the parking lot of the emergency room of SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.
Hunter Schilling of One Hope United on East McCord had bond set at $10,000 after being charged in Marion County Court on Wednesday with aggravated battery to a peace officer, criminal damage to government property, battery, and resisting arrest.
Centralia Police say Shilling reportedly struck an employee of One Hope when leaving the hospital. He allegedly spit on a responding officer resulting in the aggravated battery charge. Shilling is also accused of damaging a rear seat of a squad car after being taken into custody.
Shilling had the public defender appointed to represent him.
