The Franklin Park Bobcats dropped their season opener to Centralia 52-19 with a running clock to finish up the game. The Tigers jumped out to a 10-0 run and never trailed in the game. Noah Nix led Franklin Park with 6 points.

The Salem JV earned a 34-31 overtime win. Salem trailed by 3 in the waning seconds when Ryegan Warren hit a three at the buzzer to send the game to extra time. He hit another three mid way through the extra time and Morgan Mickens came up with 2 big shots late in the game to help seal the win. Warren finished with 12.
Raccoon is 4-0 after their 53-13 win over Willow Grove. Michael Organ led the way with 17, Miking Ettress added 12 all in the first half, Cody Beard added 8.
Sandoval beat Irvington-North Wamac 47-41. Isaiah Lyons and Drew Gore had 10 points each in the win. For North Wamac, Jace Bodine had 13 with Devin Konhorst and Zerek Koch added 12 each.
Selmaville got 30 points from Heydin Purcell and 29 from Owen Becker as they knocked off Field 63-52. Kameron Huston had 19 in the loss while Damon Heck and Slade Emery added 13.
In middle school basketball today, Irvington North Wamac will host Central City, Iuka is at Willow Grove, Selmaville at Kell.
