The KC Blue Devils made a remarkable turnaround turning an 11 point second half deficit to 20th ranked Lincoln Trail into a 14 point victory. Traeveion Jones and Chauncey Hughes combined for 30 points and helped get the Blue Devils back in the game. Jalen Williams finished with 11 including 2 huge three’s late to help push the lead to double figures. Shomari Tillett had 18 points including 12 of the team’s first 14 points as KC built an early lead in the first half and led 30-29 at the break. The Devils improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the GRAC as they get set to head to Vincennes on Wednesday for a showdown in the Region.
The KC Blue Angels earned their 2nd win of the year and first in the GRAC with a dominant 75-62 win over visiting Lincoln Trail. Janiah Newell dominated with 34 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Megan Kronk added 12 points and 5 boards, Kyra Duncan finished with 11 and 6. Christ Our Rock grad Kamryn Pieron finished with 2 points and 6 rebounds. KC will play at Lake Land in Mattoon on Monday at 6pm.
