The Centralia City Council Monday night will consider an $18,070 bid from Furlong Excavating, Inc. for the replacement of the troublesome Greenview Road Sewer Force Main. Furlong was the lowest of five bids submitted.

The council will also consider bids for summer street improvements.

Mayor Herb Williams is recommending Tammy Patterson be approved for the Veteran’s Affairs Committee.

A resolution will be presented to declare Monday as Supermarket Employee Day to honor Supermarket heroes who have gone above and beyond during these unprecedented times. Another resolution will mark Tuesday as Essential Worker Day to honor Essential Workers who have risked their personal safety and health during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure we are able to safeguard ourselves and move forward during these trying times.

Further discussion will be held on returning to in-person meetings. Monday night’s meeting will be via Zoom beginning at six pm.
