A car stuck in snow at the end of a driveway caught fire and was destroyed Wednesday night.
Kinmundy-Alma Fire Chief Kevin Day says the fire apparently began in the engine compartment when the tires were spinning to try and get free. The car was owned by Connie Lyday and it was stuck in her driveway on Charleston Road at Brubaker Road northeast of Salem.
Day reports the car was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival. He reports those in the vehicle had gotten out safely.
The fire call came in at 9:30 Wednesday night.
