The Centralia City Fire Department report the engine compartment of a 2000 pickup was destroyed in a Monday night fire.
Fire officials say Patricia McKee of East Noleman was driving through the alley behind the 800 block of East Broadway when the fire broke out. The engine compartment was fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival.
The fire appears to have started around the battery.
The fire alarm came in at 8:51 Monday night.
