The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 35 additional COVID-19 related deaths on Sunday, including a female in her 90s in Clay County.
There were 1,631 new cases of COVID-19 reported around the state.
The statewide positivity rate increased a tenth of a percent to an even three-percent. The Southern Illinois Region positivity rate for the week ending February 11th has dropped to three percent. Marion County’s rate has dipped another two-tenths of a percent to nine-tenths of a percent. The Metro-East Region had its positivity rate fall to an even five-percent. The East Central Illinois Region is at 3.8-percent.
There were 59,158 does of the COVID-19 vaccine administered on Saturday, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 1,783,245. There have now been 4,864 vaccinations in Marion County, with 1,162 having both shots to be fully vaccinated. That represents 3.09-percent of the population.
