The Salem Wildcats hit the road for Cahokia action today when they play at Columbia. Varsity tip set for 2pm. Columbia High School is not allowing outside radio stations to broadcast games so the boys game will NOT be on the air this afternoon. Salem is coming off a dominant 2nd half that saw them blow out pre-season conference favorite Wesclin on Thursday.
Also today, Patoka hosts Beecher City, Odin plays at Christ Our Rock and Centralia hosts Cairo.
In prep basketball last night, South Central is still unbeaten at 3-0 following their 62-52 win over CHBC in Farina. Keenin Wilshire scored 20 to lead a balanced Cougars attack. Collin Miller added 11 with Chase Dodson and Spencer Johannes putting in 9 and 8 respectively. SC also won the JV game 60-20.
Also last night, Centralia knocked off Mt Vernon on the road 52-49, Altamont 55-53 winners over Windsor, Mater Dei beat Highland 67-40, Effingham over Lincoln 53-52, Nashville routs Sparta 80-30, Olney beat Red Hill 59-30, Pinckneyville over DuQuoin 58-32, Sandoval beat Waltonville 62-52, TTown over Okaw Valley 60-27, Woodlawn fell to Zeigler 64-57.
