A 36-year-old Salem man has been charged in Marion County Court for alleged felony retail theft. Michael Lyday of Charleston Road is accused of taking valued at under $300 from Salem IGA, but the charge is a felony due to a past Clinton County theft conviction. If found guilty, Lyday also faces an extended-term sentence due to a prior Marion County felony conviction.
36-year-old Neal Durham of Caleb Street in Louisville has been charged with a misdemeanor offense of resisting a peace officer. He is accused of being uncooperative in getting into an Alma Police Car. The public defender was appointed to represent him.
28-year-old Amy Jo Smith of North Commercial in Central City has been charged with battery for allegedly pulling the hair of a woman on January 30th.
63-year-old Michael Berning of Main Street in Walnut Hill has been charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling and cursing at a woman causing a disturbance. The incident reportedly occurred on January 30th.
