The Salem Wildcats outscored Wesclin 34-6 in the second half as they turned a 23-21 deficit after two quarters into a 55-29 victory for their first win of the season.  The Cats turned up their defensive pressure in the 2nd half forcing Wesclin into several missed shots, and as cold as the Warriors were, the Cats were equally as hot hitting 6 three’s in the 2nd half.  Donovan Williams led Salem with 15 along with Haddon Lybarger with Caden Bee putting in 14.  Salem is 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the Cahokia as they get set to travel to Columbia tomorrow.   Columbia is not allowing road radio broadcasts this year.

In other boys scores, Belleville East beat Edwardsville 48-37, Columbia 38-37 over Freeburg, East Alton-Wood River beat Mount Olive 56-51, Valmeyer over Red Bud 43-36.
