There are three food pantries that are planned in the area on Saturday.
Save with Amazing Grace with the Salem Church of Christ will be having a produce drive-through giveaway at the Church of Christ from ten to noon on Saturday. 100 bags will be available.
The Sandoval Shalon will have a drive-through food pantry distribution from 7:30 to 9:30 Saturday morning at the Sandoval Methodist Church on U.S. 50.
The Wamac Food Pantry at 123 North James will be open for drive-up only Saturday, February 13th from 10 a.m. to noon or until the food runs out. Vehicles should enter the alley on the east side of Wamac Missionary Baptist Church going south to north. Please remain in your vehicle and make space in your trunk or back seat to put your bag of food. If you have never been to the Wamac Food Pantry, please have a photo ID to show from your car window. Limit 1 per household and must come in person. Park in the lot and line up in the alley starting at 10 a.m., no sooner. DO NOT BLOCK THE ALLEY! You are asked not to come if you have a fever, cold or flu-like symptoms, suspected or diagnosed with Covid-19.
