Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson says a large quantity of drugs, large amounts of cash, as well as multiple firearms were located in the homes.
The operation was the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by the FBI and local Law Enforcement Investigators assigned to the Federal Drug Task Force. The operation involved agents from the Springfield and Fairview Heights FBI office, Officers from the Carlyle and Centralia Police Department, and the Clinton and Marion County Sheriff’s Departments.
Dodson says these types of operations are an example of local law enforcement, working in partnership with Federal agencies and the US Attorney’s Office to combat the drug problems in the area.
