The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 35 additional COVID-19 related deaths on Monday, including a male in his 90s from Washington County.

Meanwhile, the Marion County Health Department is reporting just 10 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend and Monday.  None were in long term care facilities.  One case is a student not in school during their infectious period.   Seven of the cases are considered community spread and three are believed to be from household or close contacts.

The health department is reporting 336 active cases, including 19 in the hospital and one on a ventilator.    There have been no recoveries reported during the three day period.

Clinton County is reporting 34 new positive cases over the weekend and Monday.  There are currently 261 on home isolation and six who are hospitalized.

The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting 30 new cases over the past three days, 14 of those at the Big Muddy Prison.

Fayette County Health Department is reporting eight new cases over the past three days.

Clay County has nine new cases Friday through Sunday.

Wayne County is reporting ten new cases over the weekend.   There are currently 67 in isolation and five who are hospitalized.

Statewide there were 1,747 new cases on Monday.  The statewide positivity rate dropped to 3.3-percent for the past seven days.  The Southern Illinois Region positivity rate for the past seven days is 4.1-percent.   The Metro-East Region saw a three-tenth of a percent increase to 5.9-percent.   The East Central Illinois Region is at 3.6-percent.    Marion County’s seven-day positivity rate fell to 1.5-percent.
