Three people were being held in the Marion County Jail awaiting a decision on formal charges following arrests on felony drug charges.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested both occupants of a vehicle following a traffic stop at Schwartz and Pearl Street in Salem at 10:45 Saturday night. 50-year-old Larry Woodward of Cottonwood Drive in Salem is being held for alleged possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance, and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. 32-year-old Timothy Morton of Morton Lane in Kell was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and bringing contraband into a penal institution.
A third person was arrested after Centralia Police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of South Cherry Street late Saturday night. Jeffrey Kirkman of Hester was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of 30 to 100 grams of cannabis, and on a Clinton County felony warrant for failure to appear on burglary and possession of burglary tools charges.
