The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 60 additional COVID-19 related deaths on Saturday, including a female in her 80s in Clay County and a male in his 70s and a female in her 80s in Jefferson County.
There were a total of 3.062 new cases of the coronavirus reported statewide. As of Friday night, there were 2,271 individuals in Illinois reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those 485 were in the ICU and 246 were on ventilators.
The Statewide positivity rate for the past seven days is 3.4-percent. The Southern Illinois Region positivity rate is at 4.4-percent for the week ending February 3rd. The Marion County rate is 1.8-percent. The Metro-East Region is down to 5.9-percent. The East Central Illinois Region is at 3.8-percent.
