The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 48 additional deaths from COVID-19 related causes on Sunday. The deaths include a female in her 80s in Marion County.
There were a total of 2,060 new COVID-19 cases reported around the state. The positivity rate remains at 3.4-percent for the past seven days.
The Southern Illinois Region’s seven-day positivity rate remains at 4.4-percent. The Marion County rate has fallen to 1.6-percent. The Metro-East Region’s rate has fallen another three-tenths of a percent to 5.6-percent. The East Central Illinois rate is 3.6-percent.
