Salem Fire Protection District was called to the McDonald’s Restaurant on West Main Street Friday morning when a fire broke out on the grill.
Fire Chief Dave Duncan says the fire suppression for the grill quickly knocked down the fire before their arrival, but there is considerable cleanup required and Marion County Health Department approval to reopen.
Salem McDonald’s officials planned to reopen by eleven Friday morning.
