Claire Louise Killip, nee Brodish, 53, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Claire was an intelligent lady and knew the benefit of a good education. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School in Centralia, and Centralia High School moving on to graduate from Middle Tennessee State University. After completing her bachlor’s degree in English, Claire proudly shared her knowledge and love of the English subject by teaching others. Claire had a passion for skiing, making sure to hit the slopes 3-4 days every week. She liked to travel to new and exciting destinations and recently, she really got into the joy of swing dancing. Claire was a bright light wherever she went and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Centralia in Sandoval with Rev. Fr. Steven Pautler. Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Claire Killip with arrangements. Survivors include her sons, Gavin Cosgrave of Florida, Geffrey Cosgrave of Montana, and Daniel Scuderi of Florida; her father, Jerome Brodish, Sr., M.D.; her grandchildren, Mishelle, Danny, and Emilio; her brothers, Jerome Brodish, Jr., Robert Brodish, M.D.; and her sisters, Katy Krenn, Carolyn Webb, and Suzi Wurzbach.
She was born on February 2, 1967 the daughter of Jerome Brodish, M.D. and Carol (Thornton) Brodish in Silver City, North Carolina. Claire was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Anne (Thornton) Brodish.
