The KC men and women basketball teams will hit the road today for the opening of the Great Rivers Athletic Conference as they travel to Carterville to take on John A Logan.
For the Blue Devils, they enter at 3-0 coming off tune up wins over Missouri Baptist JV and Hannibal LaGrange. They take on a team that has been ranked #1 through the first two weeks of the season but fell to 19th ranked Mineral Area College their last time out 90-74.
The Blue Angels are 1-2 coming off a loss at home Saturday to St Louis Community College 61-58. The Blue Angels had a shot late trailing by 3 but their shot was off the mark. Janiah Newell scored 22 in the loss for KC, Malea Lovelace added 10 and Kyra Duncan finished with 9.
