The Salem Community Activity Center has reopened as the Southern Illinois Region has moved into Phase Four of the Recover Illinois plan.
Executive Director Emily Wilzbach says Bingo will resume Thursday night. Doors will open at 5:30 and play will begin at 7. Wilzbach says she’s very excited to be able to restart Bingo because it is the center’s big revenue generator.
Wilzbach says they are also now taking reservations for use of center facilities for groups under 50 in compliance with Phase 4 guidelines.
The first sports activity has also resumed, with club volleyball beginning practice.
The center has been shut down since November when stricter mitigations had been put into place due to rising COVID-19 positivity rates that have now subsided.
