State Police say a 41-year-old Arlington, Texas man was injured when his pickup truck lost control on southbound I-57 near Edgewood Wednesday night and crashed into a semi traveling alongside him.
Preliminary information indicates Ahmad Abbas Abboud encountered icy road conditions and crossed over into the left lane where it struck the front passenger side of a semi driven by 44-year-old Dontez McQuiter of Detroit, Michigan.
Abboud was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. McQuiter declined medical attention.
Abboud was ticked for improper lane usage.
The crash occurred at 8:50 Wednesday night.
