Salem City Manager Rex Barbee says the City Hall lobby will reopen to the public next Monday as a result of the Southern Illinois Region moving to Phase Four of COVID-19 recovery.
The council Monday night also agreed to resume to in-person city council meetings starting with their first meeting in February on February 1st.
Barbee says he will be meeting with Recreation Director Jed Casburn on what the relaxation of COVID-19 mitigations will mean for recreation and YMCA programs in the city.
