Ronald Eugene Levitt, 72, of Woodlawn, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 am January 17, 2021 at his residence in Woodlawn, Illinois. Mr. Levitt proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
A Private Graveside Service will be held. Memorials may be made in Ronald’s honor to the Levitt family in care of Mary Ann or First FWB in Mount Vernon. Ronald married Mary Ann (Vickery) Levitt on July 14, 1972 in Olney, Illinois. In addition to his loving wife of forty-eight years, Ronald is survived by his children, Darrin Levitt and wife, Robin of Ashley, Illinois, Rod Levitt and wife, Katie of Crawfordsville, Indiana; grandsons, Dalton and Dylan Levitt of Crawfordsville, Indiana; sister, Marg Pemberton of Effingham, Illinois; nephews, Rick Pemberton and wife, Lynda of Mattoon, Illinois, Eddie Levitt and wife, Carol of Shumway, Illinois; nieces, Kim Esker of Effingham, Illinois, Donna Reed and husband, Brad of Beecher City, Illinois, Lola White and husband, Steve of Shumway, Illinois.
He was born October 17, 1948 in Effingham, Illinois to the late Ernest and Ruth (Kessler) Levitt. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brothers, Ed Levitt and Jackie Levitt; brother-in-law, Alfred “Butch” Pemberton; and sister-in-law, Linda Levitt.
