The Marion County State’s Attorney’s office has filed two new felony charges.

43-year-old Joshua Keebler of North Wall in Wamac was charged with felony domestic battery after allegedly striking another household member in the face with his hand. The charge is a felony because Keebler has past domestic battery convictions in Marion and Clinton County and a Jefferson County conviction for violation of an order of protection. Keebler was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bond and had the public defender appointed to represent him.

28-year-old Thaddeaus Johnson of Spruce Street in Odin was formally charged with possession of under five grams of methamphetamine. Johnson had bond set at $5,100 and the public defender appointed to represent him. If convicted, Johnson faces an extended sentence due to a prior Marion County felony conviction. Johnson had been arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies when reportedly speeding 60 miles per hour on West Main Street in Salem.
