A 34-year-old Salem man has been arrested for felony theft after allegedly taking money but failing to deliver the purchased product in a Facebook Marketplace transaction.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department picked up Anthony Hardin of North Howard Street after identifying him through a Facebook photograph as the one who had allegedly reneged on the deal.
The department reports Hardin set up a meeting on January 8th to deliver Vaping devices on the Biggies Parking Lot on Route 161 east of Centralia. After taking the alleged victims $1,650 and asking him to go inside to get him a soda, Hardin allegedly left without delivering the product.
