A 21-year-old Columbus, Ohio man has been arrested in connection with a Friday night altercation with a State Trooper and then escaping on foot.  The incident occurred following a traffic stop on Northbound I-57 three miles south of the Salem exit.

Princeton Glenn is being held in the Marion County Jail for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and obstructing justice.   Glenn was also wanted for a probation violation in a burglary case in Ohio, but it is outside of limits where Ohio officials would pick him up on the outstanding warrant.

Glenn reportedly had a gun in his possession when the traffic stop occurred, but it apparently had been dropped before he ran on foot.    When located walking along the 2700 block of South Broadway just south of the Salem City Limits Saturday morning he was not armed and offered no resistance to the Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy.   The deputy had been called to the area to look for a deer injured in an earlier traffic crash.

Glenn allegedly gave the deputy a false name and he was held for questioning until the State Trooper involved in the traffic stop was able to interview him.   At that point, the actual arrest was made.

The sheriff’s department and Salem Police intensified their search for the man after receiving a report matching the description of the man reportedly being on the front porch of a home on the South College Street Extension.   Police could not locate the suspect.  A later report came from a home in the 2800 block of South Broadway where a man had been found in a car in a garage of a home.   The man once again fled and while other checks were made, the suspect was not seen again until he was found walking by the sheriff’s deputy Saturday morning.
