Centralia Police say no one was injured when a car made a wrong turn and ended up driving off the Raccoon Lake boat launch at the end of Country Club Road Monday night.
Police report 22-year-old Kylee Kline of Fairway Drive in Centralia had recently moved from Carlyle and was not familiar with the area. She along with a passenger, 19-year-old Kayla Molohon of Carlyle, were able to swim out of the lake. They were warmed up by Centralia City Firemen and Lifestar Ambulance personnel but refused medical attention.
Kline was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The Centralia Fire Department assisted a towing company in removing the car from the lake. It had drifted about 100 feet into the water.
The incident occurred at 8:39 Monday night.
