A 60-year-old Peru, Indiana woman was injured in an SUV-semi crash on Interstate 70 in Fayette County Sunday afternoon.
State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates Kari Lynn Stephens was traveling eastbound on I-70 at milepost 57 when she struck the trailer of a semi in front of her driven by 24-year-old Amritpal Singh of Valley Stream, New York. The impact caused Stephens’ SUV to become lodged under the semi-trailer.
Stephens was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of injuries. She was also ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 1:38 Sunday afternoon.
