A 21-year-old rural Salem man was arrested on multiple charges by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies following a Saturday night traffic stop.
Deputies initially stopped Hayden Wimberly after receiving a report the vehicle had been stolen in Centralia from a relative.
In addition to possession of a stolen vehicle, Wimberly is being held for alleged unlawful use of a weapon for having a gun in the car, possession of under five grams of methamphetamine, and aggravated criminal sexual assault.
Further details were not immediately available about the stolen vehicle or alleged sexual assault.
The traffic stop occurred on the Selmaville Road north of Red Stripe Road around ten Saturday night.
Wimberly was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges.
