Bryan-Bennett Library was awarded a $4,900 Back to Books Grant from the Illinois State Library through its Library Services and Technology Act program.
The money will be used to purchase additional titles for the Large Print and Audio Book collections at the Salem Library.
As part of the grant project, Bryan-Bennett will hold a BOOK Bingo game for adults, beginning January 1 and concluding March 26. The goal of this game is to promote the circulation of the new books.
Game cards will be available at the Circulation Desk at the Library beginning January 1. Each time the patron has a “bingo,” horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, they can bring their card in to enter one of the weekly drawings for a prize. Weekly drawings will be held on Fridays at 1:45 p.m. All weekly entries will then be added to a grand prize drawing. Grant prize winners will be announced on March 30.
