The Marion and Clinton County Farm Bureaus are giving away gallon jugs of milk as part of a Milk for Santa program.
The giveaway is set for two Monday afternoon behind the Breese American Legion building at 575 North Main and at two Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of the Marion County Farm Bureau building at 1630 North Broadway in Salem.
250 gallons of milk will be given away at each location. The milk will be brought to your vehicle. The giveaway is first come first serve.
The program came about when Prairie Farms Dairy ended up with a surplus of milk when several schools went on full remote learning ahead of the holiday break and the Farm Bureaus purchased some of the surplus milk for the giveaway.
You do not need to belong to the Farm Bureau to participate. There is a one-gallon limit per vehicle.
