Mary Ann McGuire, 82, of Centralia passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Fireside House in Centralia. Mary Ann called the Centralia area her home since moving here in 1978, previously living in West Chicago and St. Louis. She was a dedicated employee and shared smiles with many happy customers while working for 18 years at Woolworths in Centralia. She worked at Grants and The Blue Goose both in Centralia. Mary Ann was also employed at Kaskaskia Workshop as a secretary for 10 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary Ann held true craftsman talent in her fingers and enjoyed creating through sewing, crafts, and ceramics. She liked to experience the beauty of the outdoors by camping and traveling to many destinations. Mary Ann was an amazing cook and baker much to her family’s delight as they loved to spent time at her table eating her delicious meals. She was close to her family and was blessed to be called Grandma Mary by her grandchildren. Mary Ann leaves behind wonderful memories for her family and friends to share and she will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

A private family service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Brian High officiating. Survivors that hold treasured memories of Mary Ann include her devoted family, children, Karen Wilson and husband Garry of Tracy, CA, Jeanette Davis and husband Doug of Odin, and Matthew McGuire of Centralia; grandchildren, Quintin, Lincoln, Reed, Lindsay, Ashley, Brittany, Paul, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Natalie, Audrey, Sylas, Jace, Colton, and Luke; siblings, Mike McIntire, Larry McIntire, Nancy Skinner, and Betty Rivley.
She was born on March 18, 1938 the daughter of Charles and Audrey (Grim) Allen in Leora, MO. She married Billie McGuire and 5 children were born of this union. They later divorced. Mary Ann was preceded in death by both her parents, father, Charles Allen and mother, Audrey McIntire; sons, Mike McGuire, and Mark McGuire.
