The latest COVID-19 outbreak at the Murray Developmental Center continues to see new cases among staff and residents, although the rate of new cases has slowed to one or two a day.
The Monday count shows 101 staff and 57 residents testing positive. All of the most recent positive cases are centered around Elm Cottage after the major part of the outbreak initially started at Fir Cottage.
Murray officials say all staff and residents at Fir Cottage have now recovered. 76 of the total 101 positive staff members had returned by the end of last week.
One wing of Elm Cottage has now been converted strictly to COVID positive residents, with Apple Cottage handling some of the cases.
There are currently three residents in the hospital in stable condition with COVID-19. A fourth was released to come back to the facility over the weekend.
Murray Center is testing all employees and residents every three to seven days to try and catch new cases quickly.
