Gregory “Greg” L. Brown, 68, of Centralia, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Greg worked as a Sales Representative for the Centralia Sentinel and Centralia X95 Radio for several years. He was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Central City. Greg was also a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge 1219. He enjoyed listening to music, singing, and watching movies.
A Private Family Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. He was born March 14, 1952, in Salem, the son of Norman Brown and Erma (Brannon) Brown. He married Brenda Smith on February 24, 1973, and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2009.
Greg is survived by his two sons: Erik Brown and wife Monica of Wentzville, Missouri, and Andrew “Andy” Brown and wife Erin of Chatham, Illinois; four grandchildren: Audrey Brown, Emma Brown, Darcy Brown and Dylan Brown; a brother: Richard Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters: Kaye (Brown) Buchanan of Overland Park, Missouri and Shelley (Brown) Lake and husband Gary of Overland Park, Missouri; a sister-in-law: Alma Sellers of Centralia, Illinois; two nephews: Matt Buchanan and Chad Sellers and a niece: Lauren Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Norman and Erma Brown, his wife: Brenda Brown, and a brother: Larry Sellers.
