Linda M. Gentry, 73, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 5:36 pm December 5, 2020, at her residence.
Linda worked for many years as a waitress at Ryan’s. She was a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary. Linda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Knob Prairie Cemetery in Waltonville, Illinois. A Graveside Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Reverend Don Rector officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Linda’s honor to Knob Prairie Cemetery. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. We are limited to 10 people under the tent at a time. Following the CDC and NFDA regulations, we encourage everyone to wear a mask. She was born March 4, 1947, in Mount Vernon to the late Leroy and Helen (Braden) Browder.
Linda is survived by her children, Shannon Rogers and husband, Greg and Jackie England and husband, Scott, all of Waltonville, Illinois; grandchildren, Derek Tepovich and wife, Jamie, Jaime Steingrabey and wife, Donnie, Matthew Rogers, and Christopher England; great-grandchildren, Cameron Steingrabey, Alexis Steingrabey, Baylei Steingrabey, Emmalyn Steingrabey, Gabriel Steingrabey, Mila Tepovich, and Graham Tepovich; siblings, Larry Browder and wife, Betty of DuBois, Illinois, Donnie Browder of Mount Vernon, Ruthie Horton and husband, Tim of Sandoval, Illinois, Brenda Roach of Mount Vernon, Dixie Browder of Bluford, Illinois, and Mitzi Troxtell and husband, Randy of Roxanna, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Danny Browder, Anita Shoemaker, Glenda Ellis, and an infant brother.
