More details have been released on a Thanksgiving Day stabbing at a Sandoval home.

26-year-old Kole Koehler of Sandoval, who told authorities he was homeless, was formally charged in Marion County Court with aggravated battery.   He is accused of stabbing 44-year-old Terry Hodge of Post Oak Lane in Walnut Hill in the torso with a knife.    Hodge was initially taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital and later transferred by medical helicopter to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment.

Sandoval Police say Koehler is also believed to have stabbed 47-year-old Jason Hodge of Nations Road in rural Salem.   That stab wound was reportedly to the upper left shoulder.   Jason was treated at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.

While Koehler was not charged in connection with that stabbing, he was ordered to have no contact with either Terry or Jason Hodge as part of his release on $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Sandoval Police Chief Joe Lyons believes the weapon was a pocket knife Koehler had in his possession.   The knife has not been recovered.

The stabbing incident occurred at a home in the 200 block of East Commercial in Sandoval.
